It’s just a plastic mesh, basically. Less than 1/8" thick, where a t humb hole totally could be. It’s just a weird thing.

Mazda battery is RIP, so I took the Fit to work while I attempt to resurrect it with the desulfator.

Never understood it. It just collects dirt and crumbs over time. The CR-V has this too.
